TARA L. PETERSEN

Tara has over 3 decades of experience and has been with the firm since she articled in 2004, becoming a partner in 2000. Tara is a former emergency room nurse and seasoned litigator with a keen eye for detail and a tenacious approach to legal proceedings, Tara has earned a reputation for being a formidable advocate for her clients. In her litigation practice, she specializes in fraud and debt recovery. She also has extensive experience in corporate governance, new home warranty matters, and pension law.

Outside of the courtroom Tara swaps legal briefs for basketballs as a dedicated basketball coach. Tara’s coaching philosophy is inspired by her life motto “She believed she could, so she did.” She firmly believes with the right mindset and hard work, girls can overcome any obstacle.

Tara isn’t just law and basketball – she also has a touch of magic in her life as an avid Disneyland fanatic. Combining legal expertise and a sprinkle of Disney magic, Tara navigates through life with passion, purpose and a commitment to making a difference.
